Overview
Dr Yuan Tian is the Jubilee Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Hertfordshire. Before joining Hertfordshire, he worked as an EPSRC Research Associate at the University of Warwick where he obtained his PhD in Engineering. He has a wide range of research interests in renewable energy, energy storage, energy-efficient buildings, metal foams, phase change materials (PCM), computational fluid dynamics and heat transfer. He regularly serves as a reviewer for over 10 international journals, and is the author/co-author of 20 research papers and 1 book chapter. His research has brought citations of over 700 with a total impact factor of 30. Accredited to Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) in the UK, he is a module leader teaching fluid mechanics and heat transfer.
