Overview
Liang is a lecturer in Mechanical Engineering. Liang joined University of Hertfordshire in March 2018 after attending Brunel University London where he pursued his MSc (Distinction) in Building Services Engineering with Sustainable Energy and PhD in Mechanical Engineering. His PhD thesis focuses on Investigation of power cycles for low-grade heat to power energy conversion. Liang has been granted a prestigious Chinese Government Award from China Scholarship Council (CSC) in May 2017 by the Chinese Ambassador UK. He has a research profile previously developed at Brunel University London (Research Fellow, 2017-2018) in UK. Liang has successfully designed, constructed and tested four test rigs (small scale organic Rankine cycles with turbo expander and scroll expander for industry waste heat recovery, CO2 transcritical Rankine cycles, CO2 supercritical power generation system from biomass energy and solar domestic hot water system with heat pump unit). Liang’s primary research focus lies on experimental and theoretical investigation for Energy Conversation Technology, expansion machines for power generation system and Renewable energy.
